COMMUNITY SERVICE
GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
is one aspect of the Sea Cadet program. Our mission is to build Leaders of Character and we strongly believe that leaders are not only present in their communities but do their best to make it better!
Our Sea Cadets perform various types of community service throughout Oahu including
Community cleanups of highways, parks, beaches, trails, and other local areas
Support of veteran associations
Support of Navy League of the US events
Assist local military commands with their community service events, ceremonies, and even fundraisers
Navy ship and military group homecoming events
And many other types of service events
Community service directly benefits our Sea Cadets
Builds character in each of our cadets
Instills a sense of appreciation to our local communities and militarily service members
Cadets can earn the COMMUNITY SERVICE RIBBON for their dress uniforms
Helps build their resume for applying for the US Naval Academy, Colleges Applications, and other leadership programs
REQUEST OUR SEA CADETS TO SUPPORT
Our Sea Cadet Battalion is always looking for different ways to provide service to our local community. If you have a community service project, ceremony, or event that you would like our Sea Cadets to support, please fill out a Request Support form and our staff will contact you to coordinate.
Please note, some service requests may be denied due to our schedule and/or due to the fact that our cadets may not be authorized to by USNSCC Regulations to perform certain types of service.
